Belenos is a Helsinki-based professional performance group specializing in fire and light shows, founded in 2012. Our home studio is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, and our group consists of approximately ten regular performers with diverse professional and recreational backgrounds. This wide range of expertise is reflected in every performance we create – through artistic expression, choreography, and technical execution. We believe that the most memorable experiences are created through creativity, uncompromising professionalism, and a continuous desire to develop the field.

Who We Are and What We Do

Belenos Group of Arts has the courage to act as a pioneer in a niche performing art and to increase awareness of flow arts. The group has become known for its distinctive approach to flow arts and for performance productions that combine captivating group choreography with striking and unique performance costumes handmade in Finland. Belenos is particularly a pioneer in light performances, having introduced previously unseen illuminated props to Finnish audiences for the first time. These include LED wings, illuminated umbrellas, LED flowers, LED tails, and LED fans.

Innovation

Belenos has established a strong position as a pioneer of Finnish flow arts and has played a significant role in bringing the art form to a wider audience. Over the years, we have introduced several groundbreaking performance concepts to events, including mobile roaming art performances, the choreographed illuminated umbrella, and the LED wings that have become a favourite among audiences of all ages. During more than ten years of operation, we have created numerous spectacular performance productions that have received praise for their high quality, immersive experience, and innovation.

Well-being and Safety

​

The well-being of our performers is important to us. We want every member of the Belenos group to stay healthy and motivated, even during the busiest performance seasons. We carefully manage the safety practices of every performance to ensure that each show is safe for both performers and audiences. Fire performances, in particular, are carried out in close cooperation with local rescue authorities, and we always follow their safety guidelines with safety as our highest priority. We train weekly both with and without fire to ensure that every performance can be carried out safely and professionally.

Community in Flow Arts

Flow arts are more than just performing to us – they are a community. In 2016, we founded Belenos Studio to provide our performers with a dedicated rehearsal space and to offer new enthusiasts the opportunity to discover flow arts. Today, the studio serves both as the home studio of our performing group and as an important part of the community for many people involved in flow arts.

We boldly develop new performance concepts and continuously advance flow arts by combining art, technology, and high-quality performance. Our goal is to create experiences that are both of the highest quality and easily accessible – from family events to gala evenings.
